This is the first TL2010 pretest build. The best way to test them is to follow these instructions.

If you still want to test some new binaries with TL2009 tree, please note at least the following:
(A) These tarballs contain new asymptote-1.94. It will not work with existing TL2009 texmf files; please use those found in the sources instead.
(B) This build includes xindy-2.4 (release). If you want to test it without simulating entire TL2010, the part of xindy-2.4 support files (texmf subtree) is provided below. Please follow these steps to make it working:
1) Install development binaries as usual.
2) Preserve a copy of TL2009 xindy texmf subtree:

cd /usr/local/texlive/2009/
tar -v -c -f xindy-TL2009-texmf.tar texmf/doc/man/man1/*xindy* \
        texmf/doc/xindy/ texmf/scripts/xindy/ texmf/xindy/

3) Remove all traces of TL2009 xindy:

rm -rf texmf/doc/man/man1/*xindy* texmf/doc/xindy/ texmf/scripts/xindy/ texmf/xindy/

4) Download and extract xindy-2.4 texmf files provided below:

xzdec xindy-new-texmf.part-r18349.tar.xz | tar -x -v -f -

Please refer to log files and README.txt of the parent directory for more details about these development builds.
